Panama City Beach has become one of Florida's better destinations for skateboarders thanks to the addition of two new public skateparks.
Bay County Skatepark
Bay County Skatepark is a 20,000+ square-foot concrete skatepark located inside Publix Sports Park in Panama City Beach, Florida. Designed to serve skateboarders of all skill levels, the park blends street skating and transition skating into one of the premier public skateparks on Florida's Gulf Coast.
Layout includes:
- A full street course featuring rails, ledges, banks and manny pad
- Multiple stair sets with handrails and hubba-style ledges
- Quarter pipes and transition connecting different sections
- A flowing snake run that mimics classic downhill concrete runs
- A spacious flow bowl with smooth transitions for maintaining speed
- A dedicated pool bowl with steeper walls for experienced transition skaters
- Open flatground for learning tricks and linking lines
- Something to skate for everyone
It's one of the newest and most complete public skateparks on the Florida Panhandle, welcoming skateboarders of all skill levels. The park is generally open daily from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

Frank Brown Skatepark
A street focused park located inside Frank Brown Park at 16200 Panama City Beach Parkway.
Layout includes:
- Banks
- Quarter-pipe transitions
- Stairs
- Handrails
- Flat rails
- Manny pads
- Hubba-style ledges
- Grind ledges
- Open flatground
Mellow banks and lower obstacles provide useful progression for beginners, while larger rails, stairs and ledges are available for more advanced riders.
Landscaped areas, pedestrian paths, artificial turf, lighting, and shaded spectator seating make it a comfortable community skatepark for both local riders and Panama City Beach visitors.

Do I have to wear a helmet?
Requirements vary by skatepark.
Even if a helmet isn't required, wearing a certified skateboard helmet is strongly recommended—especially for beginners and anyone skating ramps, bowls, or larger obstacles.
